Charlie was an American hero
Who paid for truth with his life.
The only one who wanted change,
The only one willing to fight.
He saw the country falling apart.
He saw the anger and the lies.
While others chose to turn away,
He looked the problem in the eyes.
He understood our forefathers,
What they sacrificed and planned.
That freedom was not simply given,
It was built by human hands.
He wanted to fix what had been broken.
He wanted people to unite.
But those who speak when others fear
Are often punished for the light.
Charlie was an American hero.
He stood for what he knew was right.
He understood what our forefathers wanted
And paid for that belief with his life.
They may have taken Charlie from us,
But they could not erase what he said.
Because a man who dies for his country
Is not forgotten when he is dead.
