One Year On Bear.
I've been on bear enough to see that some blogs ... Are successful no matter what they post. It's like fast food for blogs. I avoid those. They tend to be really boring and empty.
That the topics on the discover page are inherently random and simultaneously patterned.
That the feel good blogs and blog posts do better than those that are not feel good to the reader. Yet ... Complaint blogs also have their foothold in the bear economy.
That most of the people on here are of one plane of reality... And few of other kinds. And good luck if you have a different mindset.
That it's continuously evolving. And ever more engaging. I still get emails from people reaching out to me about what I write or wrote...months ago.
That's the nice part about bear blog... Or the indie web. People reach out. They talk to you about random stuff. I like that. I HATE small talk. I want to talk about everything but sports...or the weather.
Anyway. Keep on blogging. Even if you think nobody is listening... Somebody is. Somebody is rooting for you somewhere.
It's been a whole year for me and I still blog! Part of it was the support I got, the commentary. The other part was that habit I made for myself. I love writing. I love poetry. I love feeling what I think about.
I wish I could say the same about all of the other projects I start and ultimately abandon. I'm scatter brained and incredibly busy. Up to my neck in chores.
But I find my quiet times to blog in the middle of the night. My sudden inspo is what moves me forward to keep at it.
