organizing my life
Organizing my life is my next goal before baby arrives. That means getting actual things done... Like setting up appointments... Decluttering the house, setting down a routine for the kids etc.
The thing is, it's difficult and I admit it's even harder when you live with a full household.
My household is 7 people including two kids and myself... And with one on the way..
It's hard to set up goals, you can't really make strict rules, and life is just hectic in general. Especially after a move.
And so it ends up feeling like keeping my house clean and decluttered is out of my control. The kids make messes everywhere they go. They don't really clean up for themselves and over time it's become difficult to even get them to clean up anything, and people are constantly fighting for your attention when they want something.
It's stressful. But it doesn't stop your chores from arriving and time from passing.
You still have to make breakfast, lunch, dinner. And do the laundry at a reasonable time.
All this to say. It's worth trying to keep everything in order. Sure the kids won't remember if the house was messy or not. But they will remember the general feeling of having a messy house. Of having stressed parents because the house was messy and that feeling bleeds into other aspects of your life. And I grew up constantly moving. Constantly losing things. Life was hard for me as a kid because it wasn't really kid safe. But I'm not complaining and I don't hate my parents.
I love my parents. I just want better for my children and I want to organize my life so that they can enjoy their childhood.
