Plato's Allegory Of The Cave: A wonderful description of the task of the enlightened. Those that are enlightened must go back to the cave dwellers stuck in the cave to try to convince them of the world that is just outside.
One of my favorite videos of all time. The conclusion is very similar to what God tasks us Christians to do. We must preach the Gospel to others, so that they may also follow Christ. No matter if it leads to our deaths. That is the task of the enlightened.
It is no surprise, Christianity was influenced by Greek culture, language and philosophy.
What is most interesting about Plato's Allegory of the Cave, is that both sides conclude that they must be the enlightened ones, but we all know that only one side is correct. Wonder which one that is?
